More About Me

Background and Expertise

I've been a licensed real estate agent since 2004 and hold a Managing Broker designation since 2009.  I've worked my entire real estate career within the same company, office and brokerage.  I work in both residential and commercial sales.

I have a background in construction and as a small business owner in the north Seattle area and prior to that in the Main Line area of Philadelphia.

I have a degree in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

I've been a resident of west Mount Vernon since 1993 and am married with two adult daughters.

I've listed and sold residential and commercial real estate throughout Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish and King counties. I have extensive experience in vacant land, new construction, waterfront properties and luxury homes.

I've served on many local volunteer boards.  I was chairman of the Skagit County Board of Equalization for many years - this is the quasi-judicial board that mediates property valuation disputes between property owners and the Skagit County Assessor's Office.  I also served for many years as the chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon.

I currently serve on the Farmland Legacy Board, a county organization that works with land owners wishing to place conservation easements on their farmlands.  I'm also on the Skagit Land Trust, a non-profit organization that works to preserve open space and habitat lands throughout Skagit county.  I currently serve as President on that Board.

I hold the designation of Managing Broker, the highest real estate licensure in Washington.  I'm also a Certified Residential Specialist and an active member of the Commercial Brokers Association.

I have been fortunate to have many repeat customers and their family members over the years- I am knowledgeable and effective and work hard for my clients!  Please consider using me for your real estate needs.
